Hi, I’m Alison
Welcome to a life of endless possibilities.
Why this work matters (and why it’s different)
My work didn’t begin with a qualification. It began with a question I couldn’t answer:
“Why do I still feel this way, even when I understand it?”
After experiencing childhood trauma and difficult relationships, I spent years trying to change how I felt — through therapy, personal development, and various healing approaches.
While many of these helped me understand my experiences, they didn’t fully shift the emotional patterns underneath.
That changed when I began working at the level where those patterns were formed.
A different approach to lasting change
Many people I work with are not new to personal growth.
They are:
- self-aware
- capable
- already doing “the work”
Yet still experiencing:
- anxiety that doesn’t fully go away
- overthinking and emotional overwhelm
- recurring relationship patterns
- a persistent sense of “not being enough”
This is often where traditional approaches fall short.
Most focus on managing thoughts or regulating emotions.
This work focuses on identifying and resolving the underlying patterns driving those experiences.
When those patterns begin to shift, change is no longer something you have to force.
How I work
Using a neuroscience-informed, pattern-based approach, I help you access and resolve the emotional patterns that keep these responses in place.
This work is designed to:
- reduce anxiety and overthinking
- quiet emotional triggers
- create a deeper sense of calm and internal safety
- support lasting, natural behavioural change
Not by continually managing how you feel — but by changing what’s driving it.
Grounded in experience, not just theory
This approach is shaped not only by professional training, but by lived experience.
Having navigated trauma, emotional challenges, and serious illness, I understand what it means to feel stuck — and what it takes to genuinely shift it.
That perspective informs how I work:
calm, precise, and focused on what actually creates change.
If you’re here, there’s a reason
If you’re feeling stuck in patterns that don’t make sense… or wondering why things haven’t shifted despite your efforts — You’re not alone.
And there is a way to work with this at the level it was learned.
A little more about me (and what shaped my work)
While my work is grounded in precision and deep emotional change, there’s also a very human side to who I am.
I grew up in the Australian outback, on a farm surrounded by wide open space, sheep, and cattle. That early environment shaped my sense of resilience, independence, and connection to nature — qualities that still influence how I work today.
I’ve always been curious about people, perspective, and growth. At university, I studied French and German, and that love of learning has stayed with me.
In my 30s, I learned to swim — something I had avoided for years. It was a powerful reminder that change is always possible, no matter when you begin.
I’ve also completed the New York Marathon, which taught me a lot about endurance — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.
These experiences aren’t separate from my work. They reflect the same belief I bring to Mindset Renew:
That meaningful change is possible — even when it feels difficult, unfamiliar, or long overdue.
At home, life is a little quieter. You’ll usually find me with my cats, who bring a sense of calm (and personality) to everyday life.
What it’s like to work together
1. Work at the root of the issue
We focus on identifying and resolving the subconscious patterns driving anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, and emotional triggers.
This isn’t about managing symptoms — it’s about changing what’s creating them.
2. A precise, neuroscience-informed approach
Sessions are calm, structured, and guided by a pattern-based framework grounded in neuroscience.
We work directly with how emotional responses were learned — so they can begin to shift at their source.
3. Personalised, focused support
Your work is tailored to your specific experiences, patterns, and goals.
No scripts. No one-size-fits-all process — just focused, individualised support.
4. Noticeable shifts in how you feel
As patterns begin to resolve, many clients experience:
- less anxiety and overthinking
- fewer emotional triggers
- a greater sense of calm and internal safety
Change becomes something you feel — not something you have to force.
5. Lasting change — not temporary relief
This work is designed to create sustainable shifts.
When underlying patterns change, your thoughts, behaviours, and emotional responses naturally follow.
